Still waiting for iPhone pricing

The iPhone is just 9 days away from its Australian launch, and no carrier has released full pricing details. Telstra have mentioned plan costs and handset costs to journalists, but there is no word on how much data will be included in their plans. In fact, with the inclusion of free wi-fi access at selected locations, Telstra would seem to be suggesting that they won’t be providing any data on their plans.

I think it’s outrageous that carriers haven’t released full details of their offerings this close to the products launch. Clearly they think its better to keep the public in the dark, and hope that their existing customers just take whatever is on offer on launch day without comparing the various deals.
