Shift Solutions announces recycling program.
I am pleased to announce that we have finally found a partner to assist us in recycling the waste that is generated both from repairing computers and from retiring old PC’s.
Freecollect of Toowoomba will be handling all of our electronic waste, and having it processed at this stage overseas. Hopefully over the next year or so Freecollect will be able to start processing some of the waste right here.
We will be actively promoting this from now on, and if you have some old computer junk lying around, you can drop it in at our office, and we will sort it ready for recycling.
I’ll be writing to state and federal environment ministers soon, and when I do, I’ll be making a copy of my letter available for anyone who is interested to put their name to and send off as well; We need more government involvement in this important area, and without us making some noise, it won’t happen. Being an election year, now is the time to make that noise!
