Another tale of false economy.
I thought I’d share a story I recently heard of a company trying to save a few too many bucks buying a new PC.
The company chose to go with the lowest bidder, who were a few hundred dollars cheaper. When they took delivery of the computer, they discovered;
There was no legal operating system supplied.
The PC was not properly configured
There was no extended or on site warranty
The machine was an old model Intel P4.
A Printer they purchased was missing the driver CD
The company had to pay us to install and configure the PC.
All told, when everything is sorted out, this will have added $613 to the cost of the computer.
As they saying goes; You get what you pay for.
