Google warns on ‘unsafe’ websites
Google has started warning users if they are about to visit a webpage that could harm their computer. The warning will pop up if users click on a link to a page known to host spyware or other malicious programs.
This is welcome news for a lot of computer users. That being said, the best cure for the spyware disease is still prevention. And the best form of prevention is not ending up on these sites in the first place and not downloading software without knowing more about it first.
We are still seeing plenty of computers each week that are badly infested with this sort of garbage. Sadly, its time to realise you can no longer “play” on the internet, just as you can’t play on the road; You’ll get run over.
